Founded in 1970, AIESEC in Brazil has been providing to its members a large number of exchanges and developing itself in every area year by year. AIESEC in Brazil is one of the leading countries among the network ranking third place in absolute growth in exchange realizations. The committee recently received the ING Leadership Award during the International Presidents Meeting held last February in Macedonia. The prize recognizes Brazil as the best country globally due to its significant growth in 2010 goals during 2007 and a clearly stated ambition and structured plan.

The Annual International Congress is held in a different AIESEC country each year. During International Congress 2006 in Poland, AIESEC in Brazil has been honored by AIESEC International to host this unique event in 2008 for the first time taking place in a Latin America country.

By organizing the Congress AIESEC in Brazil aims to enable young people, future leaders, to have a positive impact on a dynamic, changing world through their experience, knowledge, mutual understanding and tolerance as well as to foster the network between organizations, partners and AIESEC members.

This special event also has as objective to draw people's attention to Brazil’s culture, history, tradition and also to country’s entrepreneur, social and economic development, hard work and modernity.
